Summary:
We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to provide hands-on legal support and counsel. The General Counsel will be responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of short- and long-term strategies impacting the organization’s legal, compliance, and internal audit functions.
Essential Functions
Develop and implement solutions to complex business and legal challenges
Identify and evaluate legal risks in prospective vendor relationships and working with internal stakeholders to assure legal compliance and minimize potential exposure to the Company
Review various agreements that pertain to partnerships and growth, negotiate and draft contracts as needed
Work closely with business teams to establish and implement policies, procedures and related documentation and training
Engage in complex negotiations and complete projects without significant assistance or oversight
Required Skills & Qualifications
Juris Doctorate (JD). Applicants must be licensed as an attorney in good standing in Georgia
5+ years of legal experience
Experience in a corporate legal department preferred
