The General Counsel serves as the chief legal advisor to the District providing legal advice to the Chief Executive Officer and executive management in the areas of health law, public records, insurance, local government law and general legal matters. Drafts, reviews, revises, and negotiates a broad range of legal documents including provider contracts, vendor service agreements, equipment and space leases, interlocal agency agreements, inter-facility transfer agreements, educational clinical rotation agreements, etc. Ensures District’s contracts adhere to applicable federal, state, local and regulatory requirements.
