| The board is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Staff Attorney to join its team. This role is integral to ensuring a fair, consistent, and legally sound attorney admissions process in the state. The ideal candidate brings strong legal analytical skills, excellent judgment, and a commitment to upholding professional standards. Staff Attorney 81386 Location: Nashville, TN Job Type: Full time Key Responsibilities: What You'll Do Draft orders and legal correspondence related to bar admissions matters. Prepare for hearings, including legal research, document review, and drafting memoranda. Review and analyze Character & Fitness investigations and reports. Evaluate requests for testing accommodation under the ADA and ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies. Manage confidential and sensitive information with integrity and discretion. Collaborate with Board staff and work independently to meet deadlines and maintain workflow. Assist with bar exam administration (including occasional in-state travel). What We're Looking For: Strong legal writing and analytical skills. Excellent communication and professional judgment. Ability to interpret rules, policies, and legal standards. High level of integrity when handling confidential information. Comfort working both independently and within a small, collaborative team. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat; comfortable navigating online systems. Minimum Qualifications: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
