| The Attorney in this role will have extensive interaction with city councils, executive offices, multiple municipal departments, and governing bodies of other municipalities. Applicants must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, analytical abilities, sound judgment, professionalism, and the interpersonal skills necessary to contribute effectively to both litigation and legislative teams handling complex legal matters in a fast-paced environment. Experience in drafting, researching, and reviewing legislation is a plus. Senior Attorney (Employment and Labor Litigation Attorney / Legislative) Location: Atlanta, GA Job Type: Full time Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: Juris Doctorate degree required. Must be a member of good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. Must have at least at least ten (10) years of post-graduate legal experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in municipal, county, state, and/or constitutional law; employment defense; investigations; policy and governance, and legislation. Important: This position encompasses a hybrid mix of work responsibilities; however, the duties are not intended to be performed in a 50/50 ratio, and the hybrid nature of this role does not imply an equal distribution of responsibilities and/or split of tasks across its functional areas. The proportion of time dedicated to each function and workload distribution will be determined by program demands, evolving business needs, organizational priorities, operational needs, and departmental requirements. Work Schedule: This position follows the City’s hybrid work schedule policy as assigned by the Department of Human Resources Commissioner and requires in-person work at City worksites/facilities at least four (4) days per week, with the option to work remotely one (1) day per week, based on eligibility, departmental needs, and supervisor approval. The hybrid work schedule is subject to change at any time to five (5) days in-person work. This position may require evening work related to board representation.
