| The Associate Operations Counsel provides in-house legal and regulatory advice on topics affecting the mortgage servicing and origination industry, with a particular focus on mortgage servicing document requirements. This role provides legal counsel to operational teams, drafts contracts, policies, and product forms, occasionally interfaces with regulatory authorities, and reports to management on changes in applicable law and regulatory trends within the industry. Associate Operations Counsel R058836 Location: Idaho Falls, ID Santa Ana, CA Texas, TX Job Type: Full time What You’ll Do: Facilitate the business objectives of the Division(s) supported and Company by providing timely and effective legal support to as well as minimizing potential legal exposure and risk. Responsible for providing and rendering practical, timely, and high quality legal counsel and guidance to the Company division(s) and department(s) to which you are assigned, working with the independent Corporate Compliance Department to ensure compliance throughout the organization with regard to applicable laws and regulations What You’ll Bring: Law Degree required Admitted to practice law in the US Typically has 1-3 years professional experience in area of specialization Licensed to practice law, in good standing Knows fundamental concepts, practices and procedures related to mortgage servicing and origination Knowledge of Federal and State regulations Developed legal research, written and verbal communication skills. Good organizational skills with the ability to multi task, prioritize and work under pressure Demonstrated ability to manage workload and balance competing priorities. Ability to build and maintain rapport with superiors, peers, subordinates and external company contacts.
