US Legal counsel Job Type: Full time A few examples of your responsibilities: Negotiate, draft, and review cross-border commercial contracts with vendors and customers including confidentiality, consulting, licensing, marketing, SaaS, and other technology-related agreements Assist with global product development and launches by drafting external communications, legal terms, and policies Partner cross-functionally and collaborate with outside counsel to provide practical legal advice and risk mitigation strategies on a broad range of topics—such as technology, product, marketing, commercial and regulatory matters, intellectual property, and consumer protection Manage disputes and litigation in Italy and abroad Guide labor matters globally in alignment with our values and company culture Create and update forms, playbooks, and other scalable tools to support our high-growth business Seek out new opportunities to unlock value for the company and address business needs by staying up to date on all relevant legal and regulatory developments What we look for: Reasoning ability. After obtaining a law degree, you practiced at a law firm or as in-house counsel in the US for a period of time, in which you encountered some of the main challenges you’ll face in the role. Typically, we offer individuals at the start of their career a salary of $89,876 to $158,736 in the US. For a candidate that we assess as possessing considerable relevant experience, the salary on offer tends to be between $158,736 and $255,857 in the US. Compensation varies by location and expected impact, and grows rapidly as you gain experience and translate it into greater contributions. In high-cost markets such as New York City and San Francisco, compensation will generally be toward the upper end of the range, while in other markets it may fall lower within the range.
