| Working under the direction and supervision of in-house counsel, the role involves conducting legal research and writing, as well as assisting with civil litigation and administrative law matters. Legal Research Attorney II - Employee Contract_ (Hybrid Schedule) Location: Los Angeles, CA Job Type: Full time Duties & Responsibilities: Conducts legal research on issues of procedural and substantive law in various areas of the law, including but not limited to personal injury, premises and products liability, environmental and employment law. Prepares briefs, pleadings, written discovery, correspondence, declarations, contracts and other legal documents. Interviews witnesses, and prepares witnesses to testify at deposition, hearings and/or trial officers, and public agencies under the guidance and supervision of an experienced attorney. Conducts depositions of experts, parties and witnesses. Makes appearances before judges, commissioners, hearing officers and public agencies. Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties). Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree From a recognized college or university Required JD (Juris Doctor) Must have satisfactorily graduated from an ABA credited law school. Required Experience: 0 - 3 years Experience as an Attorney Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: On-line research (West law, Lexis) Advanced Writing Advanced Licenses: Must have passed the California Bar exam.
