Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Adams Homes grew its business into markets throughout Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi. Since 2005, Adams Homes has expanded into markets in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and most recently Texas. Our headquarters is presently located in Gulf Breeze, Florida, but will be moved across Pensacola Bay to Pensacola, Florida in the coming months. In 1991 when Wayne Adams founded Adams Homes, he drew from more than a decade of real estate and residential construction experience to formulate the company's core principles: You're only as good as the people with whom you surround yourself Keep it simple Treat people as you would want to be treated These core principles have enabled Adams Homes to become one of the largest, privately-held home builders in the country and are the foundation for Adams Homes' philosophy, culture, and mission. Adams Homes is seeking qualified candidates for its opening for an Associate General Counsel position at its headquarters. The position will report to the company's General Counsel. Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of experience in practicing law (preferably, in the areas of real estate, construction, land use, litigation, and/or business law). Ability to work with operational teams to accomplish the company's goals. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire for self-improvement. Admission into a state bar association. Basic Outline of Scope: Land and lot acquisition efforts, commercial contract review, insurance-related issues, litigation-related issues, company-generated documents, HOA-related issues, corporate governance issues, land use issues, etc. Process: Upon review of resumes, candidates who appear to fit our criteria will receive an email with a pre-interview questionnaire to complete and return. Compensation Range: Compensation will vary based on experience, but generally, this position will have a target compensation range of $70,000 - $100,000.
