The opportunity now is to join a rocketship as we prepare for the next stage of growth, and an eventual public listing. Weee! is seeking a talented Associate Corporate Counsel to join its collaborative legal team. As an Associate Corporate Counsel you will gain experience working with colleagues across our business to find thoughtful legal solutions to challenging business questions. Reporting to the VP of Legal this position is located at Weee!?s corporate headquarters in Fremont, CA. You will: Negotiate, draft, and review commercial agreements; Provide strategic and practical legal advice to business stakeholders across the organization; Collaborate with all members of the legal team; Contribute to the continuous improvement of document templates and internal resource documents; Deliver training and guidance to employees on legal issues, best practices, and company policies; Support general business operations by responding to requests for assistance as needed; Provide legal guidance on a diverse range of marketing and advertising activities; Provide legal guidance on various privacy regulations including the collection, use, and sharing of personal data in accordance with regulatory and contractual requirements; Provide regulatory support as requested; Support litigation functions as requested; Manage outside counsel as appropriate; and Complete special projects as requested. You Have: 0-2 years of relevant legal experience; JD from an accredited law school and an active member of a state bar Experience in negotiating commercial contracts Ability to analyze issues and recommend practical solutions that balance legal and business needs and risks Ability to develop strong working relationships with other business units despite competing priorities and interests Excellent interpersonal skills, business judgment, and strategic thinking; Flexible, service-oriented mentality Persistent attention to detail; and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
