| Responsible for overseeing and defending civil litigation matters while supervising a team of attorneys. Develops case strategies, provides direction on complex legal matters, and manages outside counsel to ensure effective and efficient case resolution. Establishes operational policies, manages organizational budgets, and provides leadership coaching and guidance to legal staff. Builds and maintains strong working relationships across internal departments and external stakeholders while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Also responsible for long-term talent planning within the litigation function, including identifying, mentoring, and developing attorneys and staff. Delivers high-level legal writing and presentations on case strategy, litigation trends, and complex legal issues to internal audiences. Contributes to the development of organizational strategy and policy within applicable legal and governmental constraints and helps shape the structure of the litigation division to meet operational goals. Must be a member of good standing with the State Bar of Georgia or the ability to obtain membership within one (1) year of employment.
