| We are seeking an experienced negotiator to lead the negotiation of complex cloud services agreements with enterprise customers. This hybrid legal and business role will involve owning all aspects of the negotiation process, including developing internal strategies, crafting tailored proposals, drafting customized contract provisions, collaborating with internal teams and business leaders to resolve outstanding issues, and representing the legal team in customer negotiation calls. Enterprise Negotiator, AWS Legal Location: Seattle, WA Job Type: Full time Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - 5+ years of multi-million dollar contract negotiation experience - 5+ years of drafting and negotiating the legal terms in a broad range of standard commercial contracts experience - Experience with complex commercial/legal concepts and drafting, ability to quickly read and interpret legal terminology and reasoning Preferred Qualifications: - Juris Doctor (J.D.) or international equivalent - Experience independently leading negotiations of complex sell-side business-to-business enterprise technology contracts involving SaaS, IaaS, AI/ML, GenAI, or cloud computing - Experience practicing as legal counsel, either in-house or with a law firm - Excellent organizational skills, ability to provide oversight, guidance and management to multiple projects at once, and follow through and meet deadlines - High degree of independence, initiative, decisiveness and creative thinking Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $146,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
