| The Corporate Counsel (Property & Casualty and Specialty Risk) provides legal counsel and support to the General Counsel on all legal matters and represents the company’s US insurance business in the areas of casualty and specialty risk. This role works closely with the Senior Corporate Counsel to advise corporate management on structuring insurance contracts, managing potential disputes, identifying regulatory issues, and more. The Corporate Counsel maintains a strong understanding of the company’s mission, vision, and values, while upholding organizational standards. Corporate Counsel, P&C and Specialty Risk Location: Southington,CT Job Type: Full time Responsibilities: Liaise with corporate management and Senior Corporate Counsel Provide product support/development Responding to regulators and providing regulatory guidance Assist in support of the business with third party clients Keeps current with market trends and demands Performs other functionally related duties as assigned Qualifications: Juris Doctorate from a nationally recognized law school; active State bar license 2+ years experience in law with some insurance background as inside or outside counsel Experience managing junior attorneys, paralegals, and/or legal assistants Experience in a variety of transactions and communicating with executive management Preferred: Strong legal research and drafting skills Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills The expected salary range for this role is $120,500-$150,000/year.
