| We seek a diverse staff that reflects the community served and are currently accepting applications for entry-level Assistant District Attorney positions beginning Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Assistant District Attorneys are entrusted with significant responsibility early in their careers and, once proficient, handle serious and complex cases. The role requires a three-year initial service commitment and the ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as respond on a 24-hour basis to crime scenes, police precincts, and booking facilities. Assistant District Attorney Job Type: Full time Qualifications: Required: U.S. Citizenship as of the first day of employment as required by New York Public Officers Law ยง 3 (1) Required: New York State residency, as of the first day of employment Required: JD class of 2026 or Recent law school graduate admitted to the New York State Bar Required: Sit for the first available UBE after graduation from law school Required: Sit for first MPRE prior to the first day of employment Required: Sat for the NYLE prior to the first day of employment Required: Commitment of three years of initial service Demonstrated interest in public service and criminal law. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information Salary and Benefits: $85,000 unadmitted; $90,000 admitted.
