Construction & Solar Company with over 20 years of experience in Southern California is seeking a motivated, experienced, entrepreneurial, and responsive General Counsel for its expanding and fast-growing business. This role will be responsible for handling all in house litigation matters, state compliance, client and outside collections, and general in house legal matters, such as employment matters, general construction matters, and legal communications. We are looking for a proactive and resourceful team player. This role is executive-level and will report directly to the President | CEO of the company.
Duties, Responsibilities, and Qualifications:
· Handle in house matters between Company and outside clients, subcontractors, and insurance/licensing agencies
· Handle in house employment, human resources, and corporate compliance matters
· Prepare and draft pre-litigation and litigation matters, including Mechanics Liens, Foreclosures of Mechanics Liens, and Breach of Contract matters
· Litigation management and management of outside counsel, when necessary
· Familiarity with state and federal collection laws, including compliance with all debt collection legal standards and regulations (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act)
· Occasional court or deposition appearances
· Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
· Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to be creative and work under pressure in a fast-moving environment
Experience:
· 5+ Years
· Experience in both law firm and in house, preferred
License Requirements:
· Active member of the California State Bar, in good standing

Starting Pay:
· $100,000.00/Year
