Major Duties:
Provide legal advice to executive and senior management team regarding a variety of matters including: negotiation and governance of dealer agreements, customer contracts and other commercial contracts; corporate transactions; business activities; insurance matters; litigation; governmental compliance; employee relations; development and implementation of corporate policies
Manage outside counsel, including decisions regarding staffing and strategy
Proactively identify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies across organization
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Significant experience representing businesses, including negotiating and interpreting contracts in a business-to-business setting; preference for transactional background
Knowledge of federal and state laws, rules and regulations impacting businesses
Working knowledge of employment law
Exceptional analytical and communication skills including the ability to analyze, organize, and effectively present legal issues, opinions and recommendations to a variety of constituents
Ability to manage multiple projects and demonstrate flexibility to accommodate shifting priorities
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate with others as well as deal tactfully and effectively with a variety of internal and external constituents
Strong negotiation skills
