Responsibilities:
Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance etc.)
Liaise with the investment team and outside counsel on private fund investments
Participate in the definition and development of corporate policies, procedures and programs and provides continuing counsel and guidance on legal matters and on legal implications of all matters
Anticipate issues and estimate risks strategically
Identify proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate risks
Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights
Oversee the selection, retention, management and evaluation of all outside counsel
Prepare and review legal documents, commercial agreements and contracts
Provide legal advice and support on deal structures and assist in negotiation of agreement
Advise on legal aspects of the company’s financing, including assessing and advising on current and future business structures and legal entities
Requirements:
Overall broad legal knowledge (corporate law, litigations, labor law, etc)
In-depth understanding of how legal issues affect organisations
At least 3 years of experience in-house experience
Proven negotiation skills
Must have the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas
First class interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to anticipate legal issues or risks and to “see around the corner”
BSc degree in Law or J.D. degree
Admitted to the bar
