ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with teams across QuarterSpot’s business departments, including Compliance, Capital Markets and Business Development
Help manage relationships and activities with QuarterSpot’s outside counsel, advisors and experts
Handle a variety of general corporate legal matters
Assist with due diligence, drafting and negotiating new product and partnership documentation, closing transactions to post-closing integration
Draft and assist with the preparation of board and committee meeting materials
Assist with special corporate projects
Manage projects effectively, with a team-oriented approach
Be a key contributor in helping to grow a dynamic, fast expanding company
Make a meaningful contribution to the company's future and share in the rewards accordingly
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of relevant corporate experience at a major law firm, with significant experience working with large companies
A combination of both in-house and law firm practice experience is preferred, primarily in structured finance
Excellent negotiation and drafting skills
Ability to be the primary in-house attorney on certain corporate projects, including handling multiple simultaneous transactions
J.D. degree
Membership in at least one state bar (preferably New York)
Superior interpersonal skills and team-first attitude
Sound and practical business judgment
Strong decision-making abilities and attention to detail, sometimes under time pressure
The ability to problem solve, develop solutions, create detailed assessment and execution plans
