Responsibilities:
Assisting with various business development activities, including drafting, negotiating, and reviewing collaboration and license agreements, and related ancillary agreements
Negotiating, writing and executing a variety of agreements and contracts on behalf of the company
International hiring, expansion compliance requirements, import and export compliance
Advising on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different collaboration and licensing deals
Researching and anticipating legal issues that could impact a growth oriented company
Reviewing advertising and marketing materials to ensure that they are in compliance with legal requirements
Providing training to the company on legal topics
Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Law required, JD from accredited law school preferred
Must have 3+ years of in-house (startup business) experience
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization
Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Ability to work with all levels of internal and external organizations
Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and team player
Ability to handle detail, multiple tasks, and short-notice deadlines, with daily reprioritization of work
