General Counsel<\/a><\/p>\n

Uline seeks General Counsel at its Corporate Headquarters in Pleasant Prairie, WI. <\/p>\n

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
\n \u2022Manage Uline\u2019s legal team, control day-to-day legal operations and drive legal strategy.
\n\u2022Educate and provide counsel to Uline\u2019s executive team on compliance, risk management, legal issues and corporate governance.
\n\u2022Oversee outside counsel on major litigation.
\n\u2022Interpret laws, rulings and regulations and determine how they apply to Uline.
\n\u2022Research claims by and against Uline to anticipate and reduce legal risk.
\n\u2022Investigate, respond to and defend formal charges and complaints.
\n\u2022Draft, negotiate and review contracts.
\n\u2022Implement legal operating standards and keep current on best practices and regulations.
\n\u2022Develop and update contract templates and policies.<\/p>\n

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
\n \u2022Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
\n\u2022Licensed attorney of law in Wisconsin a plus.
\n\u202210+ years attorney experience, preferably in a corporate, in-house legal setting.
\n\u2022Hands-on experience and leadership mentality a must.
\n\u2022Excellent communicator with a leadership mentality.
\n\u2022Experience in and knowledge of risk management and evaluation.
\n\u2022Tremendous insight on a wide range of legal topics gained through previous corporate clients or in-house experiences.
\n\u2022Experience with a $1+ billion company or client base preferred.
\n\u2022Working knowledge of trademark, patent or other intellectual property law a plus.
\n\u2022International transactions and business experience (i.e. Canada and Mexico) a plus.
\n\u2022Civil litigation and courtroom experience a plus.
\n\u2022Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
\n\u2022Professional demeanor and team player with high degree of confidentiality.<\/p>\n
